Zube Park is known for its specialized children's amenities, namely its operational miniature railroad track and trains, and splash pad. Other notable amenities include: a disc golf course, an exercise station, lake/pond, picnic area, playground, reservable pavilion, and soccer pitches. Named for the Zube family, the 225-acre park includes 117 acres of land purchased from Texas in 1867 by Carl “Charles” Friedrich Zube, who immigrated from the Kingdom of Prussia in the mid-1850s. The park also boasts almost 3 miles of trails.
